Baekje Jeongyuk Sikdang

백제정육식당

Review

Near Exit 4 of Jongno 3-ga Station, this is a place I want to go back to. The yukhoe portion alone is overwhelming — pear slices, sesame seeds, and an egg yolk piled on top make quite a sight. The nutty aroma of sesame oil paired with the cool pear works so well, and the yukhoe itself is fresh, with a genuinely chewy texture.

The real signature bite, though, is grilled chadol (beef fat) topped with raw yukhoe and wrapped together with chives. That combination of grilled and raw keeps coming back to mind afterward.

With the leftover yukhoe, we ordered seasoned rice, broke the egg yolk over it with a dab of gochujang, and mixed it all together — the resulting yukhoe bibimbap disappeared in no time.
