The table here comes as one full spread: a plate of boiled pork belly, a potato pancake, and three kinds of makguksu, all made with 100% buckwheat noodles. It's the kind of meal worth seeking out in summer. The perilla oil makguksu arrives topped with a generous mound of roasted seaweed flakes and perilla seeds, made with oil pressed in-house.
Lifting the noodles releases a nutty aroma before it even reaches your nose, and the price is reasonable too. The plain broth version leaned on a clean, clear stock, while the spicy mixed version had a tangy, punchy sauce as its draw. The pork belly comes sliced thin, perfect for sharing with the potato pancake among a group.

- 3 A full spread of boiled pork, potato pancake, and makguksu — better shared between two than eaten alone
