Jeil Sikdang

Review
Jeil Sikdang is a neighborhood restaurant along the road in Wanju's Soyang-myeon, and it turned out to be a genuinely good meal eaten right before heading into a temple stay at Songgwangsa. The spicy seasoned stir-fry comes piled high on a pot lid, cooked together with plenty of enoki mushrooms and green onion, and the ingredients tasted fresh throughout.
The finishing move is frying rice in the leftover sauce and scraping the pot lid clean at the end of the meal. Side dishes came in variety and generous portion, making for a filling, satisfying meal overall. It's a solid recommendation for anyone heading into a Songgwangsa temple stay and wanting to eat well beforehand.
