Gianis Napoli

Review

Gianis Napoli sits near Yeoksam Station and works well when you can't decide between pizza and pasta, because it does both properly. The wood-fired pizzas come out with thick, chewy crust edges, and each pie has a topping color and texture distinct enough that a table can order several and split them without confusion.

The Gamberi Crema stood out most: a spicy cream sauce that clings to short pasta, shrimp and mushrooms folded in, with melted cheese giving it real weight and richness. The Vongole went the other direction, staying light and clean without turning salty, so the two paired well together on the same table. The Diavola piled thin salami slices across the dough for a salty punch in every bite, and the Mortadella pizza, wrapping burrata in mortadella and finished with pesto, read as the clear signature dish of the visit.
