Itaeri Guksu
이태리국시
Review
Walk a few minutes from Itaewon Station toward Hangangjin and you'll find this place tucked quietly on the second floor. It's Italian, but not quite — more like something delicious hovering between Italian and Korean cooking.
Start with the ginseng garlic hot-pot risotto. Cheese crisps up along the edge of the stone pot like nurungji, and the pairing of soft-boiled egg and chicken worked really well. The whole menu leans into a Western-Korean fusion that cuts through richness, and the unusual dishes made for a genuinely good meal.
The tables are spaced generously and the lighting is warm, which makes it an easy, comfortable place to sit and talk.
