Piyangok

피양옥

Review

Piyangok is another worthwhile Apgujeong stop for a generous spread of Pyongyang-style dishes. The dumplings are packed especially full, giving them a character of their own, while the sliced pork is remarkably tender and easy to enjoy.

The gently seasoned naengmyeon and thick mung bean pancake were both satisfying. Side dishes can vary so much from one naengmyeon restaurant to the next, and this combination makes Piyangok worth trying at least once for dedicated fans.

It is also a comfortable choice for a group, with enough variety on the table to appreciate Piyangok's particular take on this familiar cuisine.
