Meat Rocal

미트로칼

Review

There's a small meat deli tucked into an alley off Hannam-ogeori that turns out to be a genuinely hidden find. Meat Rocal makes its own sausages and ham in house, using antibiotic-free pork sourced from Jeongeup.

I started with the grilled ham and cheese sandwich — simple, but it nailed the fundamentals, with bread that had a satisfying texture. What set it apart was the clean, distinct pork flavor coming through from the housemade ham, which was noticeably different from the cured meats you'd get elsewhere. A sandwich piled thick with sliced ham was hearty enough to make a full meal on its own.

The charcuterie selection is wide, so if you're the type who takes ham and cured meats seriously, this is worth the detour.
